Description:The Palolo worm is 5-8 cm long with many legs. Its body is a tan color and its legs are trasparent.

Habitats: Palolo worms live 12 ft under water near the samoan islands in coral reefs.

Diet:  The Palolo worm feeds on very small aquatic plants and animals.  

Zoology Features: The Palolo worm is a protostome with a radial symmetry. Its a diploblastic organization with a spicule skeletal system.

Basic Growth and Developmental Cycles: Palolo worms have a biannual reproductive system where the posterior of the worm detaches, floats to the surface of the water and releases eggs and sperm.
