Detailed Description: It is a small to medium sized sea turtle. It has an elongated oval shell with overlapping scutes on the carapace. It has flippers with two claws. It has a small head with a distinctive hawk-like beak. Its general colorization is brown with numerous color splashes of orange, yellow, and reddish-brown on the carapace.

Habitat: It is associated with the coral reef. They are frequent in rocky areas, coral reefs, coastal areas, lagoons or oceanic islands, and creeks. They can sometimes be seen resting in ledges and cave in and around the reef.

Organism’s diet: It feeds on sponges. 

Zoology Features: The head of the Hawksbill sea turtle is elongated and has a beak-like mouth of a hawk.

Basic Growth and Development Cycles: The nesting season occurs in April and November. They nest at night. The male hawksbill sea turtle mature about twenty-seven inches long. The female hawksbill sea turtle matures about thirty-one inches long.
