Description: The Hawaiian Monk Seal has a gray thick coat, which turns Brown with weathering and the sun. Thier postetiors are white and smooth. They can get to be 8 feet in length and weigh up to 300-400 pounds. These mammals live to be about 25-30 years old. Habitats: Hawaiian monk seals live in the remote Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, where coral reefs are the perffect environment for baby seals learning to swim and hunt. Diet: These seals live off of fish, spiny lobsters, octopuses, and eels. |
